Monday at 06 UTC... a ridge is expected along a line from the North Sea to the Western Mediterranean. various shortwaves are advected northeastward upstream of the ridge.

A weak shortwave trough west of Portugal is expected to move inland during the day. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to form ahead of the trough during the afternoon. Some strong wind gusts are possible with those storms as the dry low-level air enhances evaporational cooling of downdrafts.
